Courses
range from four to fourteen days focusing on individual survival and movement.
Equipment is restricted to the basic essentials or first-line gear. Classes
review both the psychological and physical necessities of human survival.
Attendees will be required to construct shelters, start primitive fires,
locate water and food sources, perform land and celestial navigation,
and communicate and move without detection. Courses environments include
swamp/jungle, cold weather/winter, woodland/mountain and desert. Although
attendees are continually monitored it should be understood this program
is both physically and mentally demanding and attendees will be required
to move independently throughout the field exercise phase.
Background:
This course was specifically developed to meet the challenges faced by
a continual and growing terrorist threat. Past clients have included DOD
SOF, Governmental SWAT and Special Response Units, NATO and other allied
forces, and fortune 500 corporations. Course length and content can be
adjusted to meet unit specific needs. Clients required meeting NFPA and/or
OSHA standards have a minimum amount of instruction hours regardless of
experience level.
