This
course concentrates on field expedient techniques for immediate vertical
extraction with limited supplies. Instruction covers the implementation
of ascending and descending systems in emergent situations for the movement
of victims, prisoners or heavy/operational gear with minimal technical
equipment, often already carried by specialized units and rescue teams.
Training scenarios teach reactionary response to the unexpected such as
immediate building evacuation by elevator shaft or other structural means,
emergent water extraction with weighted gear in heavy sea state or swift-water
via helicopter or other vehicle and movement of the injured
