| TFR
is a 12-day/110-hour First Responder-level course is designed to instruct
non-medical personnel in the performance of life-saving measures with emphasis
on self-aid, buddy-aid and care of an operational team. This is not a paramedic
program but a course designed by former US Pararescue and UK SAS medical
personnel based on the principals of combat casualty care. TFR covers the
following areas: Tactical Combat Casualty Care, Tactical Medicine, field
administration of intravenous venous and intraosseous fluids and other "advanced
measures". TFR also details environmental medicine and emergencies,
field medical emergencies, expeditionary medicine and planning considerations,
and patient transport and movement. TFR courses are primarily taught in
the heart of the White Mountains of North Conway, NH but may also be conducted
at various other locations via MTT. |
